GETTING THE BALL ROLLING
Most of JADA’s projects start with an initial consultation to introduce our company and its services to prospective clients. During this consultation, we learn what the needs of clients are and develop a general scope of work to address those needs. Estimates are given based on information available at that time. Most frequently, this consultation will take place at the location where the work is to be performed, so we can observe site conditions. If there is a spousal relationship, we generally require the presence of both spouses. This is important to the process, and we make few exceptions. There is no charge for this consultation.
If prospective clients have completed plans for a project, JADA will frequently provide an estimate or bid at no charge. There are variables, however, that affect our ability to provide this service without charging. In the event that charges are necessary, JADA will refund these charges if the project is awarded to us.
It is common for people to be no further along than the concept stage of a project when the initial consultation is held. At this time, feasibility and ideas for design will get bounced around. Possible project costs and costs of planning & permitting will also be discussed. If a decision to pursue the project is made at the end of this initial consultation, a short form contract allowing JADA to charge for further project consultation and development must be signed.
