JADA Construction Company was established in Anchorage in 1999. The original vision of the company was to take on and complete worthwhile projects that exceed the owner’s expectations and leave us feeling satisfied and accomplished. That vision hasn’t changed.
JADA’s focus is on delivering craftsmanship, detail, and energy efficiency through a collaborative process. Building construction is very complex, and is difficult for people who are not involved in the industry to understand. Successful projects result from the combined efforts of owners, design professionals, and contractors—with their pool of skilled craftsman and laborers—pulling together to fulfill the owner’s dream.
While JADA does design work, a good portion of our projects are designed by others. We take pride in our ability to collaborate both up and down the chain; owners and design professionals at one end, subcontractors at the other. No one knows it all, so we need each other. Projects become a web of shared expertise and ideas. When work commences, general contracting can be compared to directing a choir and juggling at the same time. There is timing and pieces to coordinate, all while dealing with the variables.
JADA Construction subscribes to an eco-friendly building philosophy that emphasizes energy efficiency, longevity, and well-designed comfortable spaces that reflect the way individual home owners actually use their homes. Our firm endorses and encourages you to read Sarah Susanka’s book, “The Not So Big House”, in which quality of design and craftsmanship is emphasized over size of structure. She has other books relating to the same topic that are informative as well.
David Doolen, the President of JADA, has over 34 years of Alaska construction experience, much of it as a contractor in Anchorage. In addition to his residential background, his resume includes commercial, institutional, and industrial expertise as a member of Alaska Carpenters Local 1281.
JADA Construction Company is a member of the Anchorage Home Builders Association, the Alaska State Homebuilders Association, the National Association of Home Builders, and the Better Business Bureau; supporting client satisfaction from reliable professionals.
